Team-Based Care

Care Beyond the Procedure

Tongue- and lip-tie care isn’t just about the procedure. Feeding, speech, sleep, posture, and comfort are all connected — and no single provider can address every layer. That’s why we value team-based care.

At the same time, every family’s journey looks different. Some can pursue a full team approach; others may only be ready for one or two steps. We’ll meet you where you are — whether that’s focusing only on the frenectomy, connecting you with a few trusted providers, or coordinating with a full care team. Our goal is to support your child (or yourself) without adding overwhelm.

Why Team-Based Care Matters

Research and experience show that outcomes are often stronger when families have support beyond the release itself. Stretches work better when muscles are balanced. Feeding is easier when latch is optimized. Healing is smoother when tension is released.

This doesn’t mean every family needs every provider — it means we look at the whole picture and recommend what’s most helpful for you.

Who We Work With

  • Lactation consultants (IBCLCs) – supporting infant latch, feeding comfort, and parent confidence

  • Bodyworkers (all ages: chiropractic, physical therapy, craniosacral therapy and more) – releasing tension, improving alignment, supporting healing

  • Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) – guiding speech clarity and oral function, especially in children and adults

  • Oral Myofunctional Therapists (OMTs) – retraining tongue posture, swallowing, and airway support (children and adults)

  • ENTs, Pediatricians, and Sleep Specialists – addressing complex airway, ear, sinus, or sleep concerns

  • Dentists and orthodontists – monitoring bite, jaw growth, and spacing concerns

  • Naturopaths, Functional Medicine Providers, and Holistic Dentists – offering supportive approaches beyond traditional care, especially for families seeking integrative options

We prioritize working with providers who see beyond symptoms, collaborate openly, and support each patient as a whole.

What This Means for Families

You don’t have to find these providers on your own. We’ll recommend trusted specialists when it makes sense, and we’ll coordinate with anyone already on your team.

If your resources are limited — time, finances, or energy — we’ll help you find the right balance of support without pressure.

Every family’s journey is unique. Our role is to bring clarity, provide skilled treatment, and connect you with the right support — so you can move forward with confidence.
